Today we celebrate Labor Day, a day commemorating the American labor movement, which empowered workers to unite and advocate for workplace safety and equality beginning in the late 1800s.
Our very own Tom Tosti, Director of District Council 88 for AFSCME, and a member of the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors, shared: “Labor Day is a time to celebrate our advancements toward creating a healthy work environment, and also a reminder to continue advocating for the fair treatment of all workers.”
The Middletown Municipal Center is closed today in observance of Labor Day.
