Middletown Township, Bucks County (population 45,000), has an exceptional career opportunity for a proven leader to head up the Department of Building and Zoning. The township seeks a dynamic individual who will thrive in a varied and fast-paced environment. Director will oversee in-house staff, third-party inspectors, and several consulting engineers.
A Bachelor’s degree in public administration, planning, community development or related field is required with at least five years’ progressively responsible experience, including specific municipal government experience in land development, building, zoning, planning, or engineering. Successful candidate will possess: proven management and interpersonal communication skills; knowledge of zoning and land development processes, permitting, and construction; experience with presenting to boards and interaction with a variety of stakeholders.
