The Middletown Township Department of Public Works is seeking an experienced mechanic to fill the Assistant Mechanic role.
Under the direction of the Shop Foreman and Public Works Superintendent, this position is involved with routine maintenance, repairs, and official inspections on various types of motorized vehicles and equipment.
Examples of Work:
In garage and/or in the field, perform maintenance and repairs on motor vehicles, both gasoline and diesel, including but not limited to special purpose vehicles and associated equipment, trucks, mechanical shovels, bulldozers, tractors, power mowers, snow plows, rollers, compressors, spreaders, pumps, jacks, jack hammers, landscape and shop equipment, tools, and accessories.
Qualifications:
Three years of current experience as a mechanic in the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and equipment.
Pay Range: $33.53/hour
