Raising Awareness for National CPR and AED Awareness Week

Jump to calendar

June 1-7 is National CPR and AED Awareness Week! Let's raise awareness about CPR and AED skills to save more lives.

Every year, about 70% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes. It's a startling statistic that highlights the urgent need for more Americans to learn CPR and how to use an AED.

Imagine being called on to save the life of someone you love. It could be your parent, spouse, or child. What if it were them? You have the power to make a difference in an emergency situation.

In 2007, the American Heart Association, in collaboration with the American Red Cross and the National Safety Council, worked together to designate June 1-7 as National CPR and AED Awareness Week federally. It's a time when we can all come together to understand the impact of CPR and AED knowledge in saving lives.

Join us in spreading the word and empowering our communities. Together, we can make a real impact and save more lives.
