Special Announcement from Waste Management

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM WM

February 3, 2025

Township residents have started receiving letters providing you with a Customer ID directly related to your collection service address, so that you can setup your online My WM Profile. We appreciate your willingness to manage your service account directly on your phone or laptop.

We have been made aware that some of these letters contained an incorrect Customer ID.

After speaking with our print service, they have confirmed that the error was made by them during production of the individualized letters. They sincerely apologize for the confusion and are correcting the problem quickly.

Please DO NOT call the Township office or WM Customer Experience directly about your Customer IDs, as it will slow the process of getting your corrected ID numbers to you. New Customer ID information will be coming to you by mail early next week.

You will receive a new letter with your correct Customer ID number on it. This number may be the same one you already received, but we want to ensure we didn’t miss any resident who may have received a letter with incorrect information. Please destroy the original notice you received and use the corrected ID number once you receive it.

Providing direct access to residents to their municipal service account is a relatively new service provided by WM, and unfortunately, a few glitches have occurred. These were unanticipated and unfortunately has created confusion unnecessarily. We apologize for the inaccurate information.

We appreciate your understanding and patience, as we move forward to provide you with the quality services you deserve.

Sincerely,
Waste Management

Board of Supervisors Meeting Recap

Jump to calendar

The Board of Supervisors meeting on March 20, 2023, included many several exciting items.

Middletown Township Police Department’s newest officer, Mike Leonard, was sworn in by Chairperson Anna Payne. Mike and his family are Middletown Township residents, and Mike comes to MTPD after serving for 15 years with Philly PD. We’re excited to have Mike join our PD and look forward to him serving our great Middletown community.

Many volunteer firefighters from Parkland Fire Company were recognized including Captain Bill Oettinger. Middletown Township career firefighters and Parkland Fire Company volunteer firefighters responded to a house fire on February 28.

Captain Bill Oettinger arrived at a house fire on February 28th, in his personal vehicle. Arriving first, he observed a two story buidling filled with smoke and a resident was still inside. He entered the building without protective gear and removed the unconcious homeowner.

The homeowner received immediate medical attention by Middletown Township career firefighters and Penndel EMS personnel and was transported to a local hospital. The homeowner recovered and was discharged after a few days. Bill Oettinger's actions demonstrated the dedication of the volunteers. Everything came together because the volunteers, career staff, and mutual aid response agencies worked hand in hand to provide emergency services to the community.

The Board of Supervisors also proclaimed March as Colon CancerAwareness Month and National Developmental Disabilities Month. These two proclaiations raise awareness to these issues.
