Find Your New Waste Service Day

Beginning January 6th, Waste Management began to implement a new trash collection schedule featuring once-a-week collection in Middletown Township. Trash, recycling, and yard waste will all be picked up on the same day, with bulk waste collected during the third week of each month on your collection day.  Click here to learn more

Use our interactive tool to find your new collection day: Trash Service Day Lookup

Christmas trees are picked up on residents’ collection day throughout the month of January.  Make sure all of the decorations and lights are removed.  Do not place trees in plastic bags.

Special Announcement from Waste Management

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM WM

February 3, 2025

Township residents have started receiving letters providing you with a Customer ID directly related to your collection service address, so that you can setup your online My WM Profile. We appreciate your willingness to manage your service account directly on your phone or laptop.

We have been made aware that some of these letters contained an incorrect Customer ID.

After speaking with our print service, they have confirmed that the error was made by them during production of the individualized letters. They sincerely apologize for the confusion and are correcting the problem quickly.

Please DO NOT call the Township office or WM Customer Experience directly about your Customer IDs, as it will slow the process of getting your corrected ID numbers to you. New Customer ID information will be coming to you by mail early next week.

You will receive a new letter with your correct Customer ID number on it. This number may be the same one you already received, but we want to ensure we didn’t miss any resident who may have received a letter with incorrect information. Please destroy the original notice you received and use the corrected ID number once you receive it.

Providing direct access to residents to their municipal service account is a relatively new service provided by WM, and unfortunately, a few glitches have occurred. These were unanticipated and unfortunately has created confusion unnecessarily. We apologize for the inaccurate information.

We appreciate your understanding and patience, as we move forward to provide you with the quality services you deserve.

Sincerely,
Waste Management

PECO is committed to providing safe and reliable energy for its customers. As part of their work, PECO will be upgrading and installing new equipment to modernize and enhance the local electric grid.

This project is part of PECO’s Reliability & Resiliency Plan to invest $1.36 billion through 2025 on targeted reliability-focused infrastructure investments. These accelerated investments will help strengthen the local electric infrastructure to better withstand more frequent and damaging storms, deliver enhanced reliability for customers, and enable the adoption of clean energy resources. This plan is part of PECO’s overall system investment of approximately $6 billion during the next five years across their electric and natural gas systems to inspect equipment, complete targeted system enhancements and corrective maintenance, invest in new equipment, and perform vegetation management.

About the Project:

  • PECO is investing more than $250,000 to enhance the local electric infrastructure in our area.
  • Existing lower voltage electric circuits will be upgraded to higher voltages to better meet customer needs.
  • A machine referred to as a directional bore machine will be used to install new conduit as well as new underground electrical cable throughout select neighborhood.
  • New equipment, including pad-mount transformers could be installed or replaced as necessary.
  • This work will help to improve reliability – reducing the frequency of outages and minimizing the duration of outages that do occur and will increase the ability for customers to install clean energy resources, like solar generation.
  • Work will occur along Sparrow Ln, Hulmeville Rd, E Parker St and Sparrow Turn.
  • Construction will begin in March, 2023. The project is expected to be completed by the end of June, 2023.
  • Work will be performed by PECO crews and qualified PECO contractors.
Crews may need to temporarily interrupt service to safely complete some of this work. PECO will work with local residents to ensure they are informed in advance of our activities and any planned interruptions. To ensure you receive all outage updates, please confirm your phone number on your PECO account at peco.com/myaccount or by calling PECO at 1-800-494-4000.

PECO will also work closely with local officials to minimize the impact on traffic and pedestrians whenever possible. Access for services such as trash removal, student transportation and emergency vehicles will be maintained during construction.

If you have any questions regarding the details of this project and how it may impact you, please contact Gary Dollahon, Customer Liaison, at Gary.Dollahon@exeloncorp.com.
