FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Event is Canceled
Langhorne, PA – 10/12/2023 – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of Groovin’ at the Gates, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 14th. Due to the expected poor weather conditions, including steady rain over several hours, we have made the difficult decision to prioritize the safety and well-being of our atendees and participants.
The decision to cancel Groovin’ at the Gates was not made lightly, and we deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause to our community, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers who have been eagerly looking forward to this event.
Unfortunately, we do not have a rain date scheduled for this year’s event due to the complexity of rescheduling. However, we remain commited to bringing the joy and excitement of Groovin’ at the Gates to our community. With this in mind, we are planning next year’s event for Fall 2024, when we hope to welcome everyone back for a wonderful celebration.
"We understand the disappointment that this decision may bring," said Anna Payne, Chairperson of the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors. "The entire Board of Supervisors of Middletown shares in that disappointment and are already looking ahead to the future, where we can come together safely and enjoy all that Groovin’ at the Gates has to offer."
The Township extends our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and the local community for their unwavering support. We appreciate your understanding and patience during these challenging times. The 2023 event sponsors are Eastern AutoParts Warehouse, James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, and Robin Kemmerer Real Estate.
